We’re hiring a Controls Designer to develop and improve automation control systems that drive our production processes. If you have hands‑on experience with PLC programming, circuit design, and industrial automation, this is your chance to work on impactful projects in a fast‑paced environment. What You’ll Do: You’ll design and debug PLC programs using Rockwell or Siemens software, create electrical and fluid circuit diagrams, and ensure systems meet customer specs and safety standards. You’ll collaborate with robot programmers, troubleshoot issues, and support installations at customer sites.
Skills & Experience:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and/or 2+ years of relevant experience
Strong PLC programming and debugging skills
Experience designing pneumatic, hydraulic, water, and electrical circuits using AutoCAD
Solid understanding of industrial communication networks and control systems
Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards
Travel: This position requires flexibility to report to multiple Paslin sites. During an installation project this role will require overnight travel to customer sites for periods of up to 12 days at a time over a period of multiple consecutive months. Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to sites in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Work Environment This position operates in both an office and a shop/plant environment, may be required to work at multiple facilities depending on workload.
Work type & Expected hours of work Regularly works on‑site at local Paslin location, either Hoover, 10‑Mile or Cherry Creek. Must be flexible to work at any of these three locations as needed for an extended period of time. Typical work schedule for this role is 6am‑2:30pm, Monday to Friday. During critical phases of the project, work hours may flex up to more than 12 hours per day. This position is for regular, full‑time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.
Physical Demands The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 25lbs. Will use hands and vision to operate power and manual tools and HMI interfaces. This is a safety‑sensitive role, which includes working around moving equipment and machinery.
