Your day at a glance You start your shift reviewing blueprints and schematics, planning the build sequence and selecting the exact tools and machines needed to hit the day’s production schedule. A call comes from shipping—you independently rig and load a truck using the overhead crane, then return to assemble both small subassemblies and large industrial machinery with precision. Before parts move on, you perform a meticulous final inspection to our quality standards. You jump in to support teammates, lend backup where needed, and finish by restoring a clean, organized, and safe work area. Along the way, you model BCT’s Culture and Core Values.

What you’ll do

Assemble fabricated and machined components into complete mechanical systems—ranging from small assemblies to large machinery.

Independently rig, move, and load materials and trucks using overhead cranes.

Interpret complex blueprints and schematics; sequence work to meet schedule commitments.

Select proper tools, fixtures, and equipment to complete production tasks efficiently.

Conduct final inspections to verify parts and assemblies meet quality requirements.

Complete required monthly safety training and adhere to safety procedures.

Support both internal and external customers with responsive, solution-focused service.

Provide cross-functional support and backup to teammates as needed.

Maintain a tidy, safe, and well-organized work environment.

Apply welding skills where applicable (preferred, not required).

Champion and support BCT’s Culture and Core Values in daily work.

What you bring

Clear verbal and written communication.

Strong attention to detail; thorough, decisive problem solver with follow-through.

Solid shop math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and metric conversions.

Foundational mechanical knowledge and curiosity for how machines work.

Experience and education

Overhead crane experience (required).

3+ years of experience in manufacturing or a closely related environment (required).

Background in heavy industrial machine assembly (preferred).

Hydraulics experience is a plus.

Technical proficiencies

Equipment, mechanical, and general troubleshooting.

Hydraulic systems fundamentals.

Electrical/electronic system familiarity.

Tape measure reading and accurate layout.

Mechanical assembly techniques.

Shop math competencies.

Blueprint reading.

Tools and technology Exposure to Shot Blast Machines (Viking Blast & Wash Systems, Goff, Guyson, Pangborn, Wheelabrator).
