We are currently seeking a passionate
Speech-Language Pathologist
to join a school district in
Cook County, IL
for the 2025–2026 school year.
Base pay range:
$55.00/hr - $70.00/hr (non‑exempt)
Location:
Cook County, IL
Schedule:
7:20 am – 2:35 pm, Monday‑Friday
Grade Level:
Elementary, K‑5
Caseload size:
42‑50
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and re‑evaluations as part of a multidisciplinary evaluation team.
Utilize play‑based and developmentally appropriate assessment tools and strategies to accurately evaluate communication skills in young learners.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address each child’s unique speech and language needs in alignment with IDEA and district standards.
Provide direct therapy services and consultative support within a variety of school‑based settings, including inclusion classrooms, specialized programs, and small‑group environments.
Collaborate closely with general and special education teachers, related service providers, and families to support students’ communication goals across home and school environments.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and IEP updates, in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
Qualifications:
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) may also be considered.
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech‑Language Pathology.
