Job Title:
AWS DevOps Engineer
Employment Type:
9+ months Contract (W2 Contract)
Work Arrangement:
Plano, TX 75024 (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of experience in Information Technology.
Expertise in one or more SecDevOps practices: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Cloud (AWS), CI/CD (Git/Argo), and microservices deployment (Kubernetes).
Hands‑on experience with AWS services including IAM, VPC, EKS, CloudFront, and API Gateway.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash/Shell and Python.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and source control tools.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, collaborative environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with additional AWS services: ECS, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, MKS, Batch, Lambda, Cognito, RDS, Route 53, ALB, and more.
Familiarity with other IaC tools such as CloudFormation.
CI/CD tools: GitLab (preferred), GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Argo CD, Docker, Helm.
Secrets management tools: HCP Vault, AWS Secrets Manager.
Networking technologies: Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, NAT, Istio, Traefik, Nginx.
Scripting and build tools: Python, Go, JavaScript, YAML, JSON, Maven, Gradle, NPM.
Database experience: RDS, MySQL, Postgres, RedShift, MongoDB, DynamoDB.
Security and monitoring tools: SAST, DAST, Xray, Prisma Cloud, DataDog, Splunk, ELK, Grafana.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines to support secure, scalable cloud deployments.
Collaborate with cybersecurity and web security teams to ensure compliance with technical standards.
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues related to connected vehicle technologies, mobility, and telematics.
Manage deployment, automation, and maintenance of AWS‑based production systems.
Continuously adopt and integrate new tools, technologies, and processes.
Communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams.
Conduct peer code reviews and maintain high‑quality codebases.
Ensure availability, performance, security, and scalability of cloud systems.
Own the release and configuration management of production environments.
