A school psychologist is needed for a middle school setting to provide specialized support primarily focused on special education evaluations. This contract position spans the current school year, offering an opportunity to work onsite with students in grades 6 through 8, contributing to the academic and cognitive development of a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive special education evaluations including cognitive assessments, academic achievement testing, executive function and attention evaluations
Prepare detailed reports outlining evaluation results and recommendations
Attend multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss findings and collaborate on individualized education plans (IEPs)
Provide direct psychometric services onsite at the middle school, ensuring effective communication with educators and families
Support a caseload of students requiring psychological assessment and consultation services
Qualifications
Valid school psychologist certification or licensure
Experience with special education evaluations in a middle school setting preferred
Strong skills in cognitive and academic assessment tools
Ability to write clear, concise reports and present findings in team meetings
Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Location: Centerville, MA
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, temporary contract through the current school year
