Salary Range: $72,310 - $87,200

Provides on-site system administration and security support for JSSA programs supporting Navy customers. Ensures the security posture of systems is maintained through proactive monitoring, patching, and STIG implementation.

Essential Job Function

Provides comprehensive desktop support, including setup, maintenance, and upgrades.

Installs, maintains, and secures Microsoft Windows servers and related hardware/software.

Troubleshoots computer hardware, Windows OS, application, and network connectivity issues.

Configures and manages Active Directory, including OU architecture and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

Manages databases (MSSQL, Oracle) and related applications (e.g., Dimensions CM, IBM Rational DOORS, Boeing IDT, Deltek Cobra).

Performs vulnerability scanning and patching using ACAS and IAVM procedures.

Provides antivirus support and resolves security issues in collaboration with the ISSO.

Applies and maintains STIGs on a quarterly basis for designated security zones.

Scans systems for STIG compliance using SCAP/Evaluate STIG.

Monitors event logs and performs regular security checks.

Maintains awareness of and adheres to relevant Federal, DoD, and Navy security policies and guidance.

Required Skills

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance (Secret or higher) with SSBI.

Must have a high school diploma with 13 years of IT experience or an associate degree plus 7 years of IT experience. Will also consider a bachelor's degree with 5 years of IT experience.

Minimum 3 years of experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server operating systems.

Minimum 2 years of experience with DoD STIG implementation and system hardening.

Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems.

Experience with server backup applications and RAID systems.

Must have a CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification).

Microsoft Operating System Certification (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, RCSA).

Familiar with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and security controls for DOD networks.

Knowledge of Federal, DoD, and USN Guidance (DoDD 8500.1, DoDI 8500.2, NIST publications).

General Information Assurance (IA) tools.

Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes.

Desired

Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) certification will be required within 3‑6 months of hire date.
