Network Engineer
for our client, a municipal government providing essential public services, based in
Aurora, CO . This crucial role is responsible for the design, maintenance, and support of the city’s robust LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure for both voice and data applications. Candidates must be self‑starting, experienced with Cisco, Juniper, and firewalls, and committed to enhancing network security and efficiency.
Candidates must be residents of the State of Colorado. Compensation & Benefits
Pay:
$85,000 – $93,000 per year (competitive). Benefits:

Full‑time, Direct Hire. Location:
Onsite in Aurora, CO (hybrid possible after initial period). What You’ll Be Doing
Design, implement, and maintain high‑availability LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks for voice and data, ensuring continuous connectivity and performance. Install and configure network equipment; monitor data network systems; proactively manage network issues and escalations (on‑call rotation required). Implement, maintain, and monitor information security standards for the network infrastructure, including firewall and IPS technologies. Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (MPLS, BGP, VLANs) and foundational services like DHCP and DNS. Track time, coordinate with vendors, assist with network upgrades and patches, and contribute to technology roadmaps and solution rationalization. What We’re Looking For
2+ years of professional Network Administrator experience or equivalent education/training. Working knowledge of Cisco or Juniper switches/routers and strong experience with BGP and VLAN configuration. Experience implementing and maintaining firewall/VPN technologies; Palo Alto experience highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to formal change management processes. Strong problem‑solving, time‑management, and clear communication skills for interfacing with technical staff, management, and vendors.
