Job Store Professional is seeking an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) on behalf of a reputable manufacturing company dedicated to quality and precision. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in maintaining the highest welding standards and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, procedures, and safety requirements.
What You’ll Do
Perform thorough visual inspections of welds and welded structures.
Verify compliance with welding procedure specifications (WPS), applicable codes (e.g., AWS D1.2/D1.2M), and project requirements.
Develop and maintain welding procedures, welder qualification records, and inspection documentation.
Monitor welding operations for adherence to quality and safety standards.
Record and report inspection findings accurately and communicate results to engineering, QA, and management.
Support corrective actions for any non-conformance issues.
Participate in audits, quality meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct welder qualification and certification testing in accordance with AWS D1.2 Structural Welding Code – Aluminum.
Stay up to date on the latest welding standards, certifications, and best practices.
What You Bring
Valid AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding inspection or quality control.
Strong knowledge of AWS welding codes and standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
Excellent documentation and report‑writing skills.
Experience with ISO standards and quality requirements.
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment alongside welding teams.
Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills.
Physically capable of performing inspections (climbing, bending, lifting as needed).
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Welding Educator (CWE) credentials (preferred but not required).
Hands‑on welding experience is a plus.
