Overview
Automotive Service Manager needed for a high‑volume new‑car dealership in Worcester County, MA. This is an opportunity to join a busy, turn‑key Service Department with room for growth. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, natural leader, and able to hold staff accountable and motivated daily. This position reports directly to the General Manager and requires an organized, process‑driven manager capable of leading a high‑volume department.
Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the service department.
Create and implement processes to increase efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Set a clear vision for the Service Department to achieve performance goals.
Hold daily and weekly meetings, including 1:1s with team members.
Ensure the department obtains good CSI by building and maintaining customer relationships.
Oversee the Service Advisors and ensure ROs are written up and closed promptly.
Manage and supervise service technicians to ensure work meets high standards and timelines.
Provide training to technicians to improve skills and knowledge.
Recruit, interview, train staff, and conduct performance reviews.
Create an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
Develop and manage budgets and operating plans, monitoring performance and adjusting as needed.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of automotive technologies and industry trends.
Collaborate with other dealership departments for seamless operations.
Ensure the Service area is ready for customers with proper displays and information.
Perform other duties as required.
Compensation
Compensation range: $175,000 – $210,000++ (based on experience and performance).
Generous PTO package starting from first day of employment.
