International Tire Manufacturer seeks a Tire Test Engineer who has experience evaluating the performance of automobiles, trucks and public transportation vehicles. The Tire Test Engineer is responsible for tire evaluation planning, scheduling, physical testing, measuring and documenting the performance characteristics of various tire designs.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial and/or Quality Reliability Engineering.
Direct knowledge of Tire Testing Standards and Testing Procedures.
Manage the entire tire testing process and collect information on the performance of each tire tested.
Familiar with Tire Test Standards including rolling resistance, high speed uniformity, vibration, quasi–static characterizations, force–deflection, stiffnesses, tire‑road contact shape and pressure distribution dimensions, surface geometry, force and moment, wear, and laser measurements, inputting data into the database for further evaluation.
Responsible for benchmark testing of company produced tires as well as those of the competition.
Responsible for data collection and for maintaining all test documentation results.
Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
