Strategic Sourcing Manager | Metals & Electronics

Scope
The Clark Agency is once again partnering with our global manufacturing client to help them land a metal-focused Sourcing Manager to join their procurement team. This role will be the right hand to the Global Category Manager, who will be shaping and executing the new global strategy.
You will be regionally & globally responsible for strategic and tactical procurement activities for METALS & ELECTRONICS from the point of customer award through end of production. The ideal candidate will have a loud and clear purchasing background at the tier level, sourcing for both raw material and metal components.
This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Program Management, Sales, and Business Development to support a competitive and profitable product portfolio.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute sourcing strategy
Negotiate supplier contracts, LTAs, volume scale pricing, commercial conditions and NDAs
Drive standardization and strategy execution
Evaluate nature of market supply along with process and technology trends
Source material requirements to the required specification at a competitive best‑landed cost terms
Drive and support supplier nomination/award new business.
Participate in APQP activities and drive suppliers towards on‑time product launch
Define initial pricing, resolve or elevate changes in price due to supplier, calculate lowest total cost on quantity/price tradeoffs, and work with Planners to assist in annual standard setting
Manage tooling contracts, prototype purchases, and the vendor qualification process
Qualifications
BA in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering required
Minimum 4+ years of experience managing metals and electronics categories on a global scale, within automotive manufacturing
Experience working in global‑matrix environment
Proven track record of delivering results across KPIs such as cost savings, supplier consolidation, and strategy execution
Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex international supplier relationships
Global mindset with cross‑cultural awareness and adaptability
