Case Manager - Registered/Certified
Comprehensive Treatment Centers (CTC), part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, is a national leader in medication‑assisted treatment. We are seeking a Case Manager for our Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) located in the Capalina Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in San Marcos, CA.
Job Overview The Case Manager is a clinical professional who manages patient cases, develops and implements care plans, and may provide therapeutic services. Responsibilities include case management, care coordination, data collection, insurance liaison, and educational sessions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide quality care through developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating patient care plans.
Collect clinical data, provide input to treatment team, and support business office data needs.
Convey medical criteria and clinical information between insurance providers and treatment team.
Coordinate continuum of care activities for assigned patients, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and compliance with external agencies.
Conduct individual and family educational sessions and support discharge activities.
Coordinate timely activities relevant to team relationships within the facility.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related Human Service field.
1–2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
Experience with Opioid Use Disorder/Substance Use populations highly preferred.
Previous experience in case management and/or utilization review preferred.
AOD Registration required; AOD Certification preferred from a California‑approved counseling organization (CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP).
Preferred Experience
Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings (outpatient, residential, correctional).
Familiarity with MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone) and recovery planning.
Case management services: assessing needs, developing service plans, coordinating referrals, connecting to resources.
Knowledge of evidence‑based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, harm reduction, and trauma‑informed care.
Strong documentation skills and compliance with 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission standards.
Collaborative ability with multidisciplinary team.

Compensation Role location: California. Estimated salary range: $29.00–$38.00 per hour. Eligible positions may qualify for student loan forgiveness through HRSA, depending on clinic site eligibility.
Employment Details Full‑time hours: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–2:00 PM. Occasional weekends as needed. Seniority level: Entry level. Employment type: Full-time.
