Hours: 25 hours per week – flexible
Pay: $30.00 per hour (base pay range)
Pay range is provided by Camden County College. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
Position Overview Camden County College is one of the largest community colleges in New Jersey and is recognized for its high graduate rates and technology-rich instructional resources. The CTE Surgical Technology Program Student Coach will support students throughout the program, ensuring clear pathways to completion and successful placement.
Position Goals
Provide CTE Surgical Technology Program students with clear pathways into the program and guidance through completion.
Provide intrusive classroom and laboratory support and advising.
Offer intensive tutoring and retention support to students in the program to increase course completion and student success.
Increase placement success.
Provide non‑traditional career exposure and career placement support for students.
Essential Functions
Work directly with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic and socio‑economic backgrounds, promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Provide advisement to CTE Surgical Technology Program students.
Tutor students throughout the academic year.
Offer tutoring support during open laboratory sessions.
Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a related CTE Surgical Technology Program (preferred).
Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) preferred.
Experience in teaching, coaching, tutoring, or mentoring preferred.
