New Tech Global is currently seeking an Operations Manager for a client in Corpus Christi, TX.
Overview The Operations Manager directs and manages all shop and field service activities with overall responsibilities for safety, training, production, quality, inspection, sourcing materials, and other production-related activities.
Direct and manage shop and field operations for safety, quality, production, maintenance, and shipping and receiving.
Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment and employee safety to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
Coordinate production activities through planning with technicians and/or departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
Assists sales and business administration with product knowledge, quote and customers’ support.
Sources parts and materials for any required production needs.
Adheres to business processes and utilizes company ERP for POs, Routers, PODs, Time Sheets, Timecards and all other business processes.
Provides direction, development and leadership to staff.
Comply with all local, state, federal and regulatory agency regulations.
Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
Qualifications
High School diploma/GED required, 2 year Associate Degree in a mechanical.
5+ years of previous valve repair experience desired.
Good communication/customer service skills.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Experience in reading blueprints, and other technical diagrams.
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.
Must be able to stand, kneel, and walk for long periods of time.
Must have clean background and be able to pass both a pre-employment & random drug test(s).
Knowledge of rigging, lifting and moving heavy and awkward products.
Able to work in abnormal (heat/cold/clean room) operating conditions.
