Communications Assistant - Office of the CEO
Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $22.00/hr (on-site, entry level). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
This is an on-site entry level position that requires the ability to learn sales communication practices and entails a passion for engaging with diverse target audiences. As a Communications Assistant, your role is pivotal in supporting the communications team in executing various communication strategies to enhance the organization’s image and outreach efforts. You will assist in the development and dissemination of materials that convey key messages about our organization’s initiatives, goals, and achievements, ensuring coherence with our values and positive stakeholder relationships.
Communications Assistant Responsibilities
Engage with community partners and stakeholders to promote communication goals.
Collaborate with team members to create client presentations and support public speaking to drive consumer sales.
Support the planning and execution of internal and external events.
Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Gather information for different projects by collaborating with team members.
Coordinate logistics for meetings and communications-related activities.
Review and analyze feedback from communications initiatives to recommend improvements.
Participate in brainstorming sessions for new communication strategies.
Assist in maintaining project timelines and budgets when necessary.
Implement supervisor feedback to refine communication approaches.
Required Qualifications
Can commute to the office Monday through Friday.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-service orientation.
Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of public speaking is desirable.
Demonstrated understanding of audience analysis and target messaging.
Willingness to learn new tools and techniques in communication.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
Relevant experience in communications, marketing, or a related area (internships are a plus but not required).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Skills Familiarity with social media platforms, engagement with diverse target audiences, strong writing and editing skills, basic graphic design principles, communication tools, basic public speaking, audience analysis, project collaboration, content management systems, analytics tools, budget management, customer service orientation, marketing research, team collaboration, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
