Our beauty and personal care client is seeking a video/social content producer. This person will be responsible for
ideating, filming, and editing engaging digital video content
focused on makeup, skincare, and beauty product focused videos to educate and inspire an audience. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical production skills (lighting, video editing), and an understanding of social media dynamics.
This is a mostly onsite role-- remote candidates will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development:
Brainstorming and pitching original, on-trend video ideas that align with the brand's voice and aesthetic.
Video Production:
Filming high-quality video content using professional equipment (DSLR/mirrorless cameras) or mobile devices (iPhone), ensuring good lighting and clear audio.
Video Editing:
Performing end-to-end video editing, including cutting clips, adding sound, graphics, and text overlays using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or mobile apps like CapCut.
Platform Optimization:
Tailoring content formats and styles for specific social media platforms, such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, to maximize reach and engagement.
Trend Tracking:
Staying current with the latest beauty industry trends, social media challenges, and algorithm updates to ensure content remains relevant and discoverable.
Audience Engagement:
Interacting with followers by responding to comments and messages to build a strong community and foster brand loyalty.
Performance Analysis:
Monitoring and analyzing content performance metrics (views, likes, engagement rates, conversions) using analytics tools to refine future content strategies.
Collaboration:
Working closely with marketing, social media, and creative teams to align content with product launches and overall marketing objectives.
Brand Representation:
Performing confidently on camera to demonstrate products and represent the brand authentically and transparently (including disclosing sponsored content).
Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
Proven experience in content creation, specifically for social media, with a strong portfolio or social media handle showcasing relevant work.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in video and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut), as well as experience with various cameras and filming equipment.
Creativity & Storytelling:
Strong creative vision, an eye for visual design, and the ability to translate ideas into compelling, engaging video narratives.
Beauty Knowledge:
A deep understanding of beauty products, makeup techniques, skincare, and industry trends.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and write engaging copy for video captions/scripts.
Adaptability:
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and quickly adapt to changing trends and feedback.
