Argonia USD 359 has an opening for a PreK-8 Principal for the 2026-27 school year. The position will also include PreK-12 Activity Director duties. This is a 10.5 month position beginning the last week of July. District highlights: The district has two administrators: this position and a combination Superintendent/High School Principal; The district has two buildings: one building houses PreK - 5th grades and the other houses 6th - 12th grades. The buildings are two blocks apart. Students are on a four-day week with attendance on Tuesday through Friday; Teachers attend an average of one Monday per month for in-services or conferences; Sunflower Station daycare center is onsite with all staff receiving the benefit of discounted rates; All secondary students are 1:1 with either Chromebooks (6th - 8th grades) or Laptops (High School); Being located in Sumner County, all teachers receive yearly stipends from the Kansas Star Casino to purchase classroom materials and all students receive $100 annually for school fees or supplies.
