Essential Functions Of The Role Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with business users, developers, and management to gather and document business requirements.
Analyze existing systems, processes, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
Develop detailed functional and technical specifications for system enhancements and new projects.
Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of database-driven solutions, integrations, and reports.
Write and execute SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data for analysis or troubleshooting.
Support development efforts through scripting, light coding, and system testing (primarily in C# and/or Python).
Work closely with IT and business teams to support data warehouse and reporting initiatives.
Translate complex technical findings into clear, concise documentation and business-friendly communication.
Participate in change management, testing, and deployment activities to ensure smooth transitions to production.
Core Competencies Skills, Talents, Personal Attributes And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5+ years of relevant experience in business systems analysis, application support, or related IT roles.
Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts (joins, stored procedures, data modeling).
Some hands-on experience with C# and/or Python (for automation, scripting, or system integration).
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is a strong plus.
Experience with process documentation, system design, and test plan creation.
Proficiency in data analysis and troubleshooting system/data issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical topics to non-technical audiences.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proactive critical thinker who takes initiative and contributes to process improvement.
Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal and team skills.
Preferred Experience (Nice To Have)
Exposure to Power BI, SSRS, or similar reporting tools.
Understanding of API integrations and data exchange formats (JSON, XML, EDI).
Familiarity with Agile or SDLC methodologies.
