We are seeking motivated, licensed Architects (NCARB/RA) with experience in architectural design, construction management, and project management to join our growing Architecture division. This position offers opportunities at multiple levels — from contributing to design delivery as a mid-level architect to leading and managing the department as an experienced department leader.
As part of a multidisciplinary design team, you’ll collaborate closely with civil, structural, MEP, and environmental professionals to deliver high-quality design solutions for federal, commercial, municipal, institutional, and private clients. Key Responsibilities
Lead or contribute to the execution of architectural design projects across various sectors.
Manage and mentor architectural staff; provide guidance and technical direction to junior team members.
Develop architectural drawings, renderings, specifications, and technical reports.
Serve as Project Architect and/or Architect of Record for complex design-build or design-bid-build projects.
Oversee QA/QC and ensure design quality and compliance with applicable codes, UFC, and national standards.
Coordinate with multiple disciplines to produce fully integrated construction documents.
Conduct site visits, field investigations, and facility assessments.
Participate in proposal writing, client presentations, and business development activities.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications.
Stay informed on emerging technologies, tools, and sustainable design practices.
Represent the firm at industry events and maintain professional visibility.
Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program.
Active Architectural License (RA) in any U.S. state; NCARB Certification preferred.
Mid-Level Architect: 2–7 years of licensed experience.
Department Leader: 10+ years of licensed experience, with proven leadership and project management experience.
Experience with federal or DoD clients (NAVFAC, USACE, VA, GSA) preferred.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Bluebeam preferred.
Knowledge of federal design criteria (UFC, DoD AT/FP), building codes, and sustainable design practices.
LEED AP, WELL AP, or similar sustainability credentials preferred.
Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and meet DBIDS or other federal access requirements.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Leadership Expectations (Applicable to Department Leader candidates)
Lead, mentor, and develop architectural teams.
Establish departmental goals, workflows, and KPIs.
Oversee staffing, recruiting, and performance reviews.
Align departmental objectives with overall company vision.
Participate in company-wide leadership and business planning meetings.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Ability to walk, stand, and climb on construction sites and uneven terrain.
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
Ability to perform full building/facility investigations from roof to foundation.
