Overview We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Sourcing Specialist to join a growing procurement team. This position supports the Gas Technology Services division and is critical to business operations. You will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of high-volume service contracts, acting as the key link between internal stakeholders and external suppliers. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who excels at managing details in a fast-paced environment. You will… Manage the full lifecycle of high-volume Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs). Place, track, and follow up on Purchase Orders within the ERP system. Serve as the primary liaison between internal service delivery managers and external suppliers, managing relationships and schedule changes. Oversee the critical back-end process: meticulously matching supplier invoices to work performed and ensuring PO release numbers align for payment. Resolve invoice discrepancies, primarily within the Ariba system, to ensure timely supplier payment. Participate in regular (weekly/bi-weekly) vendor meetings to manage checks and balances and resolve issues. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including engineering, logistics, planning, and finance. Update the ERP system with all schedule changes and PO details. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a sourcing or procurement role. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Sourcing). Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of how ERP systems function, specifically regarding the full PO-to-invoice-to-payment cycle. Experience managing the full procurement cycle, including invoice clearance and problem resolution. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience managing Blanket Purchase Order (BPO) agreements. Hands-on experience with Ariba. Experience using Oracle (specifically Oracle Pascal or Oracle Oscar). Background in the industrial energy technology sector (e.g., gas turbines, compressors). Employment details W2 Contract, 12 Months (Possible Permanent Conversion) This is a hybrid position. The selected candidate must be comfortable working onsite in Houston, TX (Aldine Westfield, 77073) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays – and remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Location Houston, TX
