About The Team
Financial Connections builds the data connectivity layer for open finance and money movement, providing tools for individuals and businesses to share financial data with Stripe.
What you’ll do
As the Product Manager for Merchant Experience, you will champion merchants’ experience, shape the roadmap for APIs and dashboard experiences, and work cross‑functionally to ship products that enable merchants to link and verify bank accounts, manage risk, and roll out product innovations.
You Will
Define and deliver novel APIs and dashboard experiences for open banking.
Set an ambitious roadmap for product development and expansion.
Build tools to help businesses manage risk with Stripe.
Continuously raise the bar for reliability, latency, privacy, and product quality.
Incubate new bets to scale our business and develop more value for users.
Responsibilities
Own the Merchant Experience roadmap.
Partner continuously with engineering, design, legal, compliance, support, sales, and marketing.
Collaborate with GTM functions to bring the product to market and track adoption.
Advocate for merchants within Stripe.
Discover net‑new opportunities and lead them from nascent stage to maturity.
Minimum Requirements
5‑7+ years of product experience (ideally API‑focused).
Obsessed with product quality and ergonomic API design.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Empathy for users and craft great experiences.
Ownership mindset and ability to solve problems.
Data‑driven, first‑principles thinking.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on financial products.
Conducting product market research and building buy‑in.
Experience building brand new products or in startup environments.
Worked with GTM teams to launch products.
In‑Office Expectations Office‑assigned Stripes may be expected to spend at least 50% of time in a local office, varying by location.
Pay and Benefits Annual US base salary range: $178,600 – $268,000. Benefits include equity, bonus, 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and wellness stipends.
