Position Overview We are seeking a staff accountant to perform daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. This role works with the accounting manager and controller, provides audit support, and partners with cross‑functional departments to ensure accurate financial data. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of accounting experience, strong technical and Excel skills, and industry background in telecommunications or construction is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily accounting tasks including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes — accruals, prepaids, and intercompany eliminations
Support job costing and project accounting, ensuring costs are accurately allocated to projects
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate revenue recognition per project milestones
Support the integration and optimization of accounting systems, including automation of recurring processes
Participate directly in external audits and prepare necessary workpapers for auditors
Collaborate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and payroll teams to ensure accurate financial data
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience : 1-3 years of relevant general ledger or financial accounting experience
Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, QBO, Sage).
Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.…).
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline‑driven environment.
