Director of Finance

Reporting directly to the CEO, the

Director of Finance

plays a key leadership role overseeing all aspects of

fund administration, financial reporting, and capital‑markets management

for Stallion’s investment funds and corporate entities. This highly visible, hands‑on role ensures accuracy, compliance, and financial transparency while helping the company scale efficiently. Key Responsibilities

Oversee and support the company’s third‑party fund administrator and internal Fund Accounting Manager. Review fund financials, including monthly P&L and balance sheets; approve fund cash movement (AP/AR, wires, ACH, transfers). Forecast fund performance using forward‑looking indicators and historical trends. Lead and coordinate third‑party annual fund audits. Oversee regulatory compliance, audits, and tax reporting for all funds. Partner with Investor Relations to produce and disseminate fund‑performance metrics. Manage capital markets, including loan due diligence, line‑of‑credit documentation, and banking relationships. Monitor fund debt portfolios and coordinate with the Servicing team to ensure compliance with lending agreements and credit‑risk requirements. Manage risk while enhancing return on bank balances. Oversee the monthly and quarterly fund‑closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain and strengthen internal controls. Oversee the internal

team and their key functions, including property acquisitions, inspections, and maintenance. Mortgage statements and vendor payments. Insurance management. Coordination with property‑level stakeholders. Model Stallion’s core values and project a positive image to employees, investors, borrowers, and community partners. Collaborate cross‑functionally to continuously improve financial processes and organizational efficiency. Must work on‑site in the Austin office (this is not a remote role). Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required). CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive experience in fund management, fund administration, or real‑estate investment finance. 2+ years of leadership or management experience. Experience with real‑estate or debt/credit lending funds strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and sound judgment. Comfortable in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution are required. Who Thrives Here
