We are pleased to announce an opening for an Intermediate Engineer/Technologist who will join our Engineering Services Team in Huntsville, Alabama and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test‑range modernization, and space control marketspaces. The qualified candidate will be part of an exceptional team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) mission to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System (MDS) to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight.

Responsibilities If selected, you will provide technical support for the MDA Technical, Engineering, Advisory and Management Support (TEAMS) – Next Specialized Engineering Analyses (SEA) contract. The unique, highly qualified SEA Team is critical to ensuring the MDA can rapidly develop and deploy MDS capabilities to defeat advanced missile threats by aggressively pursuing advanced concepts and technologies for leap‑ahead MDS capability in directed energy, hypersonic missile defense, radiation‑hardened electronics, space‑based sensors, and Israeli defense systems. The SEA Team provides comprehensive MDS Developmental Test analyses, future MDS architecture modeling and design, advanced technology analyses, and specialized engineering support to improve the development, testing, and fielding of cyber‑secure and tamper‑proof upgrades to MDS Elements.
This specific position provides direct support to the MDA Advanced Capabilities (MDA/AC) organization. MDA/DV delivers advanced concepts and technologies to transform the MDS and outpace the threat. This position will focus on development of the MDA Science and Technology Roadmap which will identify and document future technologies that close capability gaps in the MDS. The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to understand a wide range of future technologies and the capability to understand how those technologies can be utilized to benefit the MDS.
Duties Include
Identify technologies that can help close MDS capability gaps.
Identify Models and Simulations (M&S) that are appropriate for assessing future technologies. Alongside colleagues, develop M&S requirements and assessment plans.
Lead the contractor team supporting development and delivery of the MDA Science and Technology Roadmap, including coordination with MDA's Future Architecture Roadmap and other MDA and Department of Defense priorities.
Interface with the MDA Chief Architect and Warfighter to ensure integration of top‑level MDS requirements into MDS technology development and DV technology programs.
Seek out and identify innovative technology solutions from both commercial and defense industries to satisfy critical gaps in the MDS.
Basic Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, or computer science.
At least 5 years of full‑time professional experience in a technical field related to missile defense and/or technical analysis of a complex Department of Defense (DoD) weapon system.
Must be eligible to obtain or have an active SECRET clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Must be able to work at our customer site on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer at least 7 years of relevant professional work experience.
Works independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and MS Office automation tool proficiency.
Prior experience analyzing one or more MDS elements or components including Infrared (IR) or Radio Frequency (RF) sensor systems, missiles, space systems, communications systems, Battle Management, Command and Control, BMC3, and missile tracking systems.
Preferred applicants will have experience in one or more of the following areas: developing M&S requirements, M&S Verification Validation and Accreditation, conducting complex analytical studies, assessing advanced concepts and technologies, and evaluating threat intelligence information as it pertains to new technology.
Prior experience interpreting and applying DoD technology policies and strategies.
Experience with MDA Systems Engineering processes.
