Description The Senior Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering transactions. Will provide accounting support for major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable desk, general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversight of all leases, ASC 842 lease accounting and general ledger entries.
Match, analyze and reconcile invoices.
Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for month end close, including recurring entries, accruals, and payroll entries.
Prepare and reconcile sales tax returns and oversee compliance and nexus issues and maintain sales tax system.
Assist with financial audits throughout the year.
Reconcile and post Concur Expense Reports.
Daily bank cash movements between all accounts to include monthly bank reconciliations.
Ensure bank compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
Back up all other desks in accounting department.
Physical & Work Requirements
Office environment.
Less than 10% travel.
40-45 hours per week.
Required Background, Competencies & Expertise
5 years in general ledger accounting and accounts payable experience.
Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Team player.
Detail oriented.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Background, Competencies & Expertise
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
High adaptability.
Experience with SAP.
