Position Overview: As a Business Analyst, you'll serve as a critical data intelligence resource for our $100M+ bedding and mattress business, transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across all business functions. This role requires a versatile analytical professional with exceptional Excel, SQL, and Power BI expertise who can analyze business performance across financial operations, supply chain management, multi‑channel ecommerce, and marketing effectiveness. You'll design and maintain sophisticated dashboards and reports while providing data‑driven recommendations that directly impact profitability.

Key Responsibilities: Advanced Analytics & Data Intelligence:
Build and maintain complex Excel models, financial analysis tools, and automated reporting frameworks for business performance tracking
Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple databases including ecommerce platforms, marketing systems, and operational data sources
Develop comprehensive analytical frameworks to measure and optimize business performance across 6,000+ SKUs and multiple sales channels
Conduct detailed analysis of business metrics including revenue trends, margin analysis, operational efficiency, and performance variance identification
Multi-Platform Business Intelligence & Dashboard Development:
Design, build, and maintain executive and operational dashboards using Power BI that provide real‑time visibility into business performance
Create interactive visualizations and reporting solutions that communicate complex data insights to stakeholders across all business functions
Develop automated reporting frameworks that track KPIs across financial performance, operations, marketing effectiveness, and channel productivity
Monitor and report on marketing campaign effectiveness across 18+ marketing platforms with detailed ROI analysis and attribution modeling
Support multi‑channel operational analysis including channel profitability, fulfillment performance, and resource allocation optimization
Financial & Operational Analytics:
Analyze financial performance including revenue, margins, COGS trends, and P&L impact across product lines and sales channels
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes with accurate data analysis and predictive insights
Track and report on supply chain and inventory metrics including stock levels, turnover rates, aging analysis, and procurement efficiency
Evaluate operational performance across warehousing, fulfillment, and logistics with data‑driven recommendations for process improvements
Conduct profitability analysis by channel, product category, SKU, and market segment to inform strategic resource allocation
Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Partner with finance, operations, inventory, procurement, marketing, and sales teams to understand analytical needs and deliver actionable insights
Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and data requirements while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Present complex analytical findings to leadership teams with clear, actionable recommendations that drive decision‑making
Collaborate across departments to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all reporting and analysis
Support ad‑hoc analytical requests and special projects that require deep‑dive investigation and data exploration
Qualifications & Experience: Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, or related quantitative field - Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
3-7 years of business analyst, data analyst, or business intelligence experience with progressive responsibility in analytical roles
Proven track record of delivering high‑impact analytical solutions that drove measurable business improvements and strategic decisions
Strong understanding of ecommerce and retail business models including multi‑channel operations, marketplace dynamics, and online retail metrics
Experience analyzing financial statements, P&L impact, profitability metrics, and business performance indicators
Demonstrated ability to work in fast‑paced, dynamic environments where priorities shift and flexibility is essential
Technical Skills* - Must Have:
Expert‑level Excel proficiency
including advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS), pivot tables, complex financial modeling, data manipulation, and macro development for automated reporting
Advanced SQL skills
for data extraction, complex queries, joins, subqueries, aggregations, and database manipulation across multiple data sources
Power BI expertise
for dashboard creation, data visualization, DAX formulas, data modeling, and interactive reporting solutions
Strong understanding of data integrity, validation techniques, and troubleshooting data quality issues across multiple systems
Ability to integrate and analyze data from multiple marketing platforms and operational systems to create comprehensive business views
Business Acumen & Analytical Capabilities:
Deep understanding of ecommerce and retail business operations including sales channels, fulfillment, customer acquisition, and revenue models
Strong knowledge of supply chain metrics, inventory management principles, and operational KPIs that drive business efficiency
Solid grasp of financial concepts including revenue recognition, margin analysis, COGS, landed costs, and profitability calculations
Analytical mindset with ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in complex datasets and translate findings into business recommendations
