What You’ll Do: As the Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for promoting personnel safety and operational excellence. You will ensure a high level of operational knowledge in industrial equipment and provide training materials, as well as train operators. Other duties include:
Supervise, review and modify the SOP program in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Assist Superintendent with operational issues and planning.
Ensure compliance with applicable Dyno Nobel HSEQ Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
Assess gaps in training and ensure personnel are trained in the safe and proper operation and care of all equipment in plant area.
Coach Lead Operator on organizing training for crews.
Assist Superintendent with development of Lead Operator in coaching, mentoring and developing teams.
Ensure personnel are up-to-date on regulatory compliance training.
Develop, improve and maintain area specific training program.
Update training based on regulatory requirements.
Implement operator training requirements.
Sign off on operator training qualifications.
Cover Operator positions when required.
Be on call on nights and weekends in the event of a plant emergency.
Cover as Complex Superintendent as needed.
Assist with planning plant maintenance activities, daily plant troubleshooting and turnaround planning.
Assist with plant startups and shutdowns.
Facilitate and participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA’s, 5 Why’s) when required and develop relevant one-point lessons.
What We’re Looking For:
Completion of training certification and qualification requirements for all positions within complex, including the lead operator position, and satisfactory job performance in all previous operations positions.
7+ years of experience in plant operations within manufacturing.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC card.
Ability to read and comprehend technical data; must have aptitude for mechanical principles and math.
Computer Literacy: Microsoft Word and Excel.
Familiar with MOC process, PHA, and LOPA.
Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
