Position Summary
Nysonian Inc. hiring an experienced HR & Payroll Manager to lead HR, safety, and payroll operations for our North Las Vegas facility and to own global payroll processing for the United States, Canada, Mexico, Pakistan, the Philippines, and China.
This is a hands‑on managerial role combining local HR leadership and safety ownership with strategic and operational responsibility for multi‑jurisdiction payroll.
The HR & Payroll Manager will manage an on‑site HR / payroll team and / or vendor relationships, ensure payroll and compliance accuracy, partner with Finance for GL reconciliation, and drive safety and people strategies at the site. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
Lead a HR / payroll and manage vendor teams / contractors responsible for HR administration, timekeeping, and payroll support. Act as the primary HR leader for the site and be a member of the operations leadership team. HR Administration & Employee Relations
Own HR policy execution at the warehouse: performance management, employee relations, leaves and accommodations, discipline, and compliance. Ensure accurate HRIS / ATS data and confidential handling of employee information. Partner with the Global Head of Talent on policy changes and legal risk mitigation. Recruitment & Onboarding
Oversee workforce planning, full‑cycle recruitment for warehouse roles, and onboarding for U.S. employees. Ensure new‑hire compliance: I‑9 / E‑Verify processes, background checks, and employment documentation. Drive process improvements for time‑to‑hire and onboarding quality. Safety & Compliance
Own warehouse safety strategy and work with Warehouse Manager to implement and continuously improve safety programs aligned to OSHA and best practice. Manage incident response, investigations, corrective actions, OSHA logs, and training programs. Embed safety KPIs into site operations and manager performance. PPE & Employee‑Related Supplies
Define policy and manage budgeting, procurement, inventory, and distribution of PPE and employee‑related supplies. Optimize stocking and usage with operations while preventing scope drift into general logistics procurement. Global Payroll Management
Operational ownership for payroll across US, Canada, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, and China: payroll calendars, timekeeping integration, approvals, executions, reconciliations, off‑cycle runs, and year‑end processes. Ensure statutory compliance in each jurisdiction: tax withholdings, social contributions, statutory filings, and year‑end reporting. Manage and evaluate payroll vendors / PEOs — negotiate SLAs and pricing; perform regular vendor audits. Partner with Finance for payroll GL reconciliations, cash forecasting, and accurate accounting of payroll expenses and accruals. Oversee currency handling, cross‑border payments (where applicable), expatriate / assignment payroll complexities, contractor vs. employee determinations, and confidentiality of payroll records. Lead payroll audits, remediate risk items, and implement controls to prevent errors. Cross‑Functional Partnership & Reporting
Liaise with Finance, Legal, and Regional HR partners to align policy and practice across jurisdictions. Produce and present payroll, safety, and HR metrics to the Global Head of Talent & HR and operations leadership. Drive initiatives to increase payroll automation, system integration, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. 6+ years of combined HR, payroll and safety experience; 3+ years hands‑on multi‑jurisdictional payroll experience. 2+ years supervisory or managerial experience (people leadership and vendor / team management). Proven experience with HRIS & payroll systems (Workday, ADP Global, UKG, Papaya, Deel, or similar). Strong knowledge of OSHA and local equivalents, employment law (U.S.), and payroll compliance across North America and APAC / EMEA jurisdictions. Demonstrated vendor management, project management, and Finance partnership skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, confidentiality judgment, and attention to detail. Preferred
Certifications: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional), SHRM‑SCP, PHR / SPHR, NEBOSH or equivalent. Direct payroll experience in Canada, Mexico, China, Pakistan and / or the Philippines, or managing vendors / PEOs in those countries. Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred. Experience with GL reconciliations and payroll accounting.
