Position Overview A Technician is responsible for the set up and operation of basic / small‑scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology.
Key Job Responsibilities
Equipment Operation – Ensure flawless events through accurate, timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
Customer Service – Exceed expectations of internal and external customers, maintain positive relationships, meet guests on site, monitor events, and foster the hotel/client relationship.
Technical Ability – Understand job’s technical aspects and demonstrate operational ability to troubleshoot problems with equipment and software.
Systems Knowledge – Follow company processes, complete systems entry, use equipment sheets to determine scheduled equipment, interact with staff and vendors, upsell, finalize invoices, and enter orders in Navigator.
Job Qualifications
High School Diploma required, Associate’s degree preferred.

1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
A valid driver’s license required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
Additional DOT requirements may need to be met if applicable.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Lifting: 0‑15 lbs continuously, 16‑50 lbs frequently, 51‑100 lbs occasionally, >100 lbs occasionally.
Carrying: 0‑15 lbs continuously, 16‑50 lbs frequently, 51‑100 lbs occasionally, >100 lbs never.
Auditory/Visual: Close vision—continuous; Distance vision—continuous; Color vision—frequently; Peripheral vision—occasionally; Depth perception—frequently; Hearing—continuous.
Pushing/Pulling: 0‑15 lbs continuously, 16‑50 lbs frequently, 51‑100 lbs frequently, >100 lbs occasionally.
Work Environment Hotel and warehouse settings; moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and dust; irregular hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
