Job Summary :
Under direct Supervision student assistant for the Information Technology Services division. Duties include direct support to the Technology Support Center (TSC) and may include support to the following departments as well : Training Services Accessible Technology Services Smart Classroom Technologies (SCT) Office of the CIO and Office of the Vice President. This position will serve as initial point of contact for students faculty and staff visiting the TSC. Students will be responsible for staffing the front desk answering calls as the campus operator and/or assisting the SCT team with audio/visual support for classroom calls or events. This includes assisting students faculty and staff with questions Coyote OneCards computer troubleshooting resetting CoyoteID passwords and connecting devices to the wireless network (Eduroam). As a campus operator students are responsible for handling incoming calls to campus general phone number. This includes answering general questions regarding the University.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Assisting customers with troubleshooting of devices connecting to Wi-Fi assisting technicians with daily duties or projects and answering campus-related questions.
Resolving issues with computer lab equipment including printers kiosks and charging stations.
Answer phone calls on behalf of campus operators when necessary and provide assistance to other departments within the division such as Training Services Accessible Technology Services CIO Office and Multimedia & Immersive Technologies.

Minimum Qualifications : Required Education and Experience
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty staff and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Special Qualification : Admission or registration as a CSU student.
Required Qualifications
Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
Eligible to work in the United States
Payroll Requirement : Social Security Card
Compensation and Benefits : Student Employment Anticipated Hiring Range : $16.50 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.

Summer available hours : Monday through Thursday (7 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm).
