Summary Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Operations Directorate – Washington, D.C.

Overview Position type: Full‑time, permanent. Open dates: 11/03/2025 to 11/07/2025.

Salary: $120,579 – $156,755 per year (GS‑13).

Secure travel up to 25% of the time. Travel may be required. Secret clearance is required.

Typical Duties

Oversee a program segment that performs professional, technical, and/or administrative work.

Facilitate the organization’s business and program achievements nationwide.

Plan, direct, and execute program segments across independent units.

Develop, assign, and maintain objectives for subordinate units.

Provide timely, authoritative advice to supervisors and officials.

Qualifications

1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS‑12 performing duties such as program management, budgeting, procurement, personnel, and IT support.

Proficiency in strategic planning, policy development, training, and interagency liaison.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

U.S. citizenship; Selective Service registration for males born after 12/31/1959.

Background investigation and drug testing per CBP policy.
