Job Overview Large General Contractor seeks an experienced Superintendent with HCAI / OSHPD experience to join our team.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of construction experience on Healthcare Projects under the jurisdiction of HCAI / OSHPD
Proven experience in supervising ground-up construction and renovations.
Proficient in project management tools and construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Office, Bluebeam).
Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and scheduling.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
OSHA 30-Hour Certification required (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Convey a positive can-do attitude
Responsibilities
Maintain a safe job site by enforcing safety policies, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring proper safety training.
Ensure work meets specifications and quality standards through inspections, testing, and control processes.
Direct daily field operations, ensuring work is executed according to plans, specifications, and schedules.
Responsible for creating the project baseline schedule and all subsequent schedule updates.
Proactively coordinate subcontractor activities, deliverables, testing, inspections, and handoffs
Collaborates with the Project Manager to review payment applications, ensuring accuracy, verifying the completion status of work, and maximizing the value of completed work for billing purposes.
Complete thorough daily reports, including timely man count reporting, and monitor time and material activities.
Work closely with and mentor the project and field engineers to develop their knowledge of construction and ensure compliance with their job description.
Maintain successful mutually beneficial relationships with design team and subcontractors. Inspire confidence that challenges are being addressed in a timely professional manner.
Manage expectations and ensure satisfaction of the Client and design team and secure repeat work.
