Summary You will serve as a LEAD TECHNICIAN in the SURVEILLANCE RADAR DIVISION (E30), SENSORS WEAPONS & LAUNCHERS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. Salary

(varies by duty station): Virginia Beach, VA: $106,950 – $164,296 San Diego, CA: $120,381 – $184,929 Port Hueneme, CA: $122,857 – $188,733 Pascagoula, MS: $105,383 – $161,889 Overview Open to applications from 11/03/2025 to 11/05/2025. Duties You will oversee surveillance radars for USN, USMC, USCG, and Foreign Military Sales platforms, and associated Land Base Test sites. You will lead and manage multiple projects and teams, ensuring technical excellence and strong customer relationships. You will drive technical improvements by analyzing failure and reliability data and modifying operational systems. You will act as the primary point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders, including the USN and USMC, to strategically guide the Surveillance Radar Program. You will assist the Branch Manager with administrative and financial tasks, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. You will ensure the engineering accuracy and currency of technical documentation and provide engineering inputs for procurement specifications. Requirements Must be a US Citizen. Must be eligible for federal employment, participate in direct deposit pay program, and meet E-Verify requirements. Must be able to obtain and maintain a required security clearance before duty assignment. Must be able to travel as required, including travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites. Must meet all statutory and agency requirements for physicians, drivers, and other service-related obligations. Qualifications Resume must demonstrate at least one-year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS‑11/12 equivalent) grade level or its equivalent in the private or public sector. Experience must include the operation, maintenance, and training of US Navy and US Marine Corps radar/electronic systems. Examples of qualifying experience: reviewing, analyzing, and recommending solutions to critical design problems; analyzing the impact on Navy’s operational effectiveness. Education Education must be accredited by an institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Provide transcripts or proof of completion for any claimed degrees or coursework. Additional Information This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS‑13 and GS‑14.
