Oil & Gas Landman - Title Analyst in Dallas

Job Summary
The Oil and Gas Landman and title Analyst analyzes and interprets land and title documents related to oil and gas leases, contracts, and agreements. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of land records and supports the land management team in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Title Analysis : Review and analyze leases, deeds, agreements, title opinions, contracts, and other ownership documentation to ensure data quality within the land management system.
Data Management : Identify and resolve data discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and ensure a high level of data integrity.
Lease Management : Manage and interpret oil and gas leases and contracts, including resolving legal ownership, acreage figures, payment amounts, and due dates.
Curative Work : Suggest and draft required curative items based on title review and make recommendations for resolving title issues.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to land and title management.
Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams, including legal, land, and operations, to support land acquisition and management activities.
Reporting : Prepare and maintain detailed reports on land and title activities, including ownership reports and title searches.
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in land management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of oil and gas laws and regulations.
Requirements
Relevant title experience in Bakken and Rockies operating areas.
Education:
Degree is but not required.
Experience:
At least 5-10 years of experience in oil and gas title analysis or land management.
Legal background or experience in contract law.
Familiarity with state-specific ownership laws and regulations.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
This is an in-office, Monday thru Friday schedule.
