Arrowhead Talent Solutions is assisting a manufacturing company in the aerospace industry with a Senior Quality Manager position located in Fullerton, CA.
Base Pay Range $111,100.00/yr - $150,299.00/yr
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Business and Site Partners to support and evolve Site Deliverable and Business and Quality Initiatives including representation and Customer interface.
Focus on delivering exceptional quality while delivering performance improvements across critical KPIs and development, measuring and tracking of critical KPIs.
Support the Site Quality Managers with management of Quality Audits, Quality Holds, Rework Plans and Corrective Actions to install strong Quality process control to avoid any process escape.
Leverage Quality Assurance procedures and Control Plan (IQC, IPQC and FQA, control of non-conforming materials) support formal Safety, Risk Assessment or Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions processes.
Drive evidence‑based Quality Systems that lead to Preventative Controls for Robust Process Results.
Utilize kaizen style blitz for process improvement and risk mitigation activity.
Implement and maintain QMS certifications (ISO, AS9100, AS13100, AS9145, FAA, EASA, NADCAP, etc.) ensuring alignment to customer and standard agency requirements.
Lead and drive Quality Planning and execution activity across product and program lifecycle including knowledge and hands‑on experiences in technical and process problem solving methods, Continuous Improvement, supplier quality standards, human capital investment, training and continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure front‑end Quality Plans are developed and incorporated in the contract and Statement of Work (SOW), which include budget and scope requirement, and align with product lifecycle development, production, and supply chain, along with sustainable compliance.
Drive and ensure culture of Continuous Improvement in product and process efficiencies by prioritizing and reducing costs associated with defects, escapes, rework, and scrap.
Qualifications
5+ years Aerospace industry experience and 5+ years people management.
Experience with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering and Quality.
Experience with Quality standards including AS9145, AS9100D, ISO9001:2015 or equivalent from other industries.
Ability to understand and utilize standard quality tools (i.e. Lean Six Sigma, APQP/PPAP, DMAIC, GR&R, CpK, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans and problem solving, etc.).
Experience working with multiple sites.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement (CI) Tools.
Develop and mentor team members & leaders.
