SHR Talent is partnering with a nationally recognized and fast-growing food manufacturer based out of New Orleans, LA in its search for a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Manager. The Procurement Manager will play a critical role in overseeing purchasing operations, supplier relationships, and cost management strategies to ensure the efficient sourcing of high-quality ingredients, packaging, and materials. The Procurement Manager position requires a proactive leader with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, exceptional communication and leadership abilities with a results-driven mindset, extensive supply chain knowledge, and a proven track record of driving efficiency and cost savings within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate for the Procurement Manager opportunity will collaborate closely with operations, finance, and production teams to optimize procurement processes, ensure compliance, and maintain the company’s commitment to excellence and sustainability and will possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.. Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing of materials and ingredients Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships to support business goals Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing, and delivery standards, implementing improvement plans as needed Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks Collaborate with internal departments including production, operations, and finance to align purchasing decisions with business objectives Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Oversee inventory management and forecasting to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste Lead cost analysis and budget preparation related to procurement activities Identify and implement process improvements to streamline procurement operations Supervise, mentor, and develop procurement team members to achieve departmental goals Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field Master of Business Administration (MBA) or MBA or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification, preferred 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the food manufacturing industry Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation Strong understanding of supply chain processes, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
