Sales Support Specialist at
Xylem We are seeking a diligent, self‑sufficient individual with strong organizational skills to facilitate the sales lead process through our Lead Clearing House team. The Sales Lead Process Specialist role will be mostly tactical, connecting prospective customers with the proper Xylem sales organization, as well as supporting lead processing.
Base pay range $55,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
Core Responsibilities
Obtain a basic knowledge of our products, services, and solution offerings and understand which divisions support those types of sales.
Receive incoming leads from Xylem.com and prospective customers through our CRM systems.
Pre‑qualify the leads (rate urgency, identify customer need, double‑check customer account/contact/vertical market information).
Distribute leads to the correct Lead Sales Rep within required Sales Lead Assignments (SLA).
Follow up on unprocessed leads.
Perform occasional record updates to opportunities and leads in CRM to ensure bookings are connected to appropriate leads and the “Share The Lead” and “Service EDGE Leads” programs are properly documented.
Set up marketing campaigns in CRM system based on the needs of Vertical Market Managers and Marketing Communications campaigns and/or events.
Import lead lists on demand based on campaigns and events.
Diagnose unknown process issues, build suggested solutions, and influence others to follow existing and new processes.
Communicate and collaborate across functions such as the sales force, the Vertical Market Managers, the Marketing Communications team, and the Sales Excellence CRM team as needed.
Position Requirements, Skills, Knowledge, Experience
High School diploma or GED required.
Sales or Marketing experience is a plus.
Proficient in Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics365 CRM (familiarity with both is a plus).
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and clearly convey lead routing decisions.
Self‑sufficient, organized, and able to multi‑task.
Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
