What you will do

Perform complex financial functions related to the health insurance products maintained by the Health System, including claims reserves, forecasting by product line, external reporting, and special projects.

Oversee Health Insurance statutory reporting and tax return preparation with assistance from outside vendors.

Account for statutory financial reporting.

Handle accounting close entries and reconciliations.

Update actuarial lag schedules and gather and analyze data for various payments and claims.

Effectively manage close, quarterly/annual reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

What you will need

Extensive knowledge of accounting and financial analysis principles, theories and techniques; Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, finance or accounting, CPA preferred.

Five years of progressively responsible work experience with a minimum of three years direct financial analyst experience.

Analytical ability to find solutions to financial accounting and data problems.

Health care experience preferred.

Insurance experience preferred.

Certifications / Licenses No specific certifications or licenses required beyond the qualifications listed above.
