Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain systems that capture, process, and stream high volumes of audio and video data from diverse sources, ensuring reliability, scalability, and low latency.
Approach complex challenges in real-time media processing and data ingestion with effective technologies and creative solutions, even when faced with novel problems.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, designers, and other engineers—to turn data-driven insights into meaningful, user-centric solutions.
Identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues across data pipelines, streaming processes, and user interfaces, ensuring end-to-end reliability and performance.
Contribute to building an inclusive and supportive team culture that celebrates diversity, fosters learning, and ensures everyone feels valued.
Requirements
Experience: Proven ability to design and implement software solutions that scale effectively, particularly in high-demand environments.
Learning Agility: Willingness to learn and apply new technologies as needed, regardless of specific stacks or languages.
Curiosity & Problem-Solving: A passion for tackling complex, real-world problems with a creative mindset and thoughtful solutions.
Technical Flexibility: Experience across multiple domains (e.g., backend, frontend, DevOps, data engineering) and openness to diving into new areas as needed.
Resilience & Self-Reliance: Comfortable working autonomously, handling ambiguity, and quickly adapting to changing needs or new contexts.
Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues and collaborate effectively with a diverse team.

Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), including scaling large systems dynamically, and optimizing resource utilization.
Familiarity with mobile development (iOS and/or Android), particularly with audio/video libraries.
Experience with audio and video streaming protocols (e.g., WebRTC) and media processing libraries (e.g., FFmpeg).
Familiarity with web technologies like HTML and CSS, and an understanding of how sites are structured and rendered by browsers.
Previous experience working in a startup or fast-growing environment.
Compensation The annual total cash compensation range is $130,000 to $170,000; however actual salaries can vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.
