Role Overview PingCAP is a world‑leading, one‑stop, real‑time HTAP database solution provider. Our mission is to build a database of the future, made by developers for developers. Responsibilities
Develop the next‑Cloud‑Database (TiDB) storage layer (e.g., TiKV) that is extremely scalable (e.g., PB level), optimized for the cloud environment and easy for backup and restore;
Design and develop reliable, scalable and efficient data backup and restore pipeline, including fast PiTR (Point in‑time Recovery) ability upon massive dataset, as well as next‑second‑level backup solution based on S3;
Analyze and improve TiDB's performance, stability, and scalability in the cloud environment;
Troubleshoot and resolve customers' critical issues such as performance, stability, or scalability;
Influence and lead the team with expertise and engineering excellence;
Built and improved engineering practice for DBAAS infrastructure;
Mentor junior engineers and help to grow the whole team's technical capability.
Qualifications
Five (5) years of experience in software development/system development or related;
Three (3) years of experience in database, storage, and/or distributed system development;
Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, GCP, and/or Azure;
Experience with container orchestration technology, e.g. Kubernetes；
Aptability to remote collaboration and work models.
