Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure
Join to apply for the Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure role at AcuityMD.
AcuityMD is a software and data platform that accelerates access to medical technologies. We help MedTech companies understand how their products are used, why customers vary, and identify opportunities for physicians to better serve their patients. Each year, the FDA approves ~6,000 new medical devices. Our solution helps MedTech companies get these products to physicians more effectively so they can improve patient care with the latest technology. We're backed by Benchmark, Redpoint, ICONIQ Growth, and Ajax Health, and we’re a high-growth SaaS company scaling rapidly.
Team Mission Our Platform Team is the backbone that keeps product teams shipping quickly and safely. We deliver direct customer value through our cloud capabilities and security, impacting internal success through partnerships with application teams and enabling a great development experience.
Responsibilities
Steward core platform services: design, implement, and operate container orchestration, service mesh, ingress, and secrets management at scale.
Cross-functional partnership: collaborate with Product Engineering, Data, and Security to plan capacity, introduce new platform capabilities, and guide architectural decisions.
Harden reliability: drive observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and automated remediation to improve availability and latency.
Automate everything: use infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration management to make systems and processes repeatable, auditable, and secure.
Scale cost‑effectively: optimize cluster utilization, autoscaling, and storage/networking to balance performance, reliability, and spend.
Level‑up developer experience: build internal tooling, templates, and golden paths that reduce cognitive load and time‑to‑first‑deploy for product teams.
On‑call & incident response: participate in a sustainable on‑call rotation, drive post‑mortems, eliminate toil, and reduce MTTR via automation.
Enable fast, safe delivery: evolve CI/CD pipelines (build/test/release) and environment strategies (dev/stage/prod).
Your Profile
7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on infrastructure, DevOps, and/or platform engineering.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a focus on enabling others.
Team‑focused approach to planning and executing work.
Pragmatic problem‑solver who communicates clearly, documents well, and thrives in fast‑moving, highly‑owned environments.
