About the Role Hirobe is partnering with a
Fortune Global 500 client
to hire an experienced
Azure Data Engineer
with deep expertise in
Azure Databricks
and
Unity Catalog . This is a high-impact role where you’ll design, implement, and optimize cloud-based data solutions that empower business intelligence, analytics, and AI-driven innovation.
You’ll be part of a forward-thinking data engineering team responsible for building secure, scalable, and governed data platforms on Azure. Your work will help establish a unified approach to data access, cataloging, and lifecycle management across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop
data pipelines
and
ETL frameworks
using
Azure Databricks
and
Delta Lake .
Implement and manage
Unity Catalog
for centralized data governance, access control, and metadata management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enforce
data security ,
lineage , and
quality standards .
Build optimized data models to support analytics, ML workloads, and business reporting.
Partner with architecture and DevOps teams to drive
best practices
in data versioning, CI/CD, and cloud resource management.
Work closely with business stakeholders to translate data needs into scalable technical solutions.
Key Skills & Experience
Strong experience with
Azure Databricks
(Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, SQL, PySpark).
Proven hands-on expertise with
Unity Catalog
– implementation, permissions management, lineage tracking, and auditing.
Proficiency with
Azure Data Factory ,
Azure Synapse , and
Azure Storage .
Strong understanding of
data governance, metadata management, and security frameworks
in cloud environments.
Experience with
data modeling ,
performance tuning , and
distributed data processing .
Knowledge of
Python
or
Scala
for data engineering.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with
Power BI
or other visualization tools.
Experience supporting
AI/ML pipelines
in Databricks.
Exposure to
Unity Catalog integration with Purview
or other governance tools.
