Responsibilities
Assist Restaurant Manager in all phases of operation. Take complete responsibility for restaurant operations in the manager’s absence. Monitor servers, runners and other associates to ensure adherence to service standards and SOPs, including uniform, appearance and presentation. Guide service of guests, responding to their needs quickly and efficiently. Manage side‑work duties and coordinate staff to ensure smooth operations. Maintain bank to SOP, keeping funds balanced and secure. Read daily communication sheets, prepare the next shift’s sheet, check call‑offs and verify coverage. Inspect design, cleanliness and setup of the restaurant, service stands, aisles and tables. Communicate daily with Restaurant Manager about special events, house counts and other operational matters. Assist in menu classes and taste panels. Education / Formal Training
High school education or equivalent. Experience
One to two full years of experience in a related position, preferably with this company or a similar organization. Knowledge/Skills
Advanced knowledge of food service principles and practices, including people management and complex problem solving. Excellent oral communication skills for interacting with guests and staff, issuing instructions and communicating policies. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to read floor plans, charts and schedules. Physical Demands
Ability to lift, push, pull and carry tables, chairs, trays, plates and chafing dishes weighing 20‑40 lbs daily. Regular bending and lifting to assist in serving food or obtaining supplies. Continuous standing and walking to supervise the host station. No kneeling required. No driving required. Environment
Work is performed 95% inside the restaurant with exposure to temperatures up to 100°F in outdoor dining areas and kitchen help. Perks
