Must Haves
Active RN license in New Mexico (or state where WFD site is located; relocation/ licensure support available)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher (Master’s in Nursing preferred; candidates must be enrolled or willing to enroll in an MSN program—tuition forgiveness available)
Minimum of 4 years’ continuous RN clinical experience providing direct patient care (or equivalent, per Board of Nursing)
At least 1 year of teaching experience in a pre- or post-licensure nursing program
Proven leadership skills with experience supervising faculty / programs
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
Position Overview The Assistant Dean of Workforce Development plays a key leadership role in supporting the Dean with instructional and administrative responsibilities. This position oversees site operations for nursing programs, supervises faculty and clinical activities, maintains compliance with accrediting bodies, and ensures program excellence in alignment with institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Dean in planning, developing, evaluating, and managing all aspects of the program.
Supervise 8–10 per diem faculty and ensure faculty and student compliance with program policies.
Oversee curriculum development, program budgeting, and accreditation/site visit requirements.
Serve as clinical site liaison, coordinating placement, risk/safety assessments, and student evaluations.
Maintain teaching responsibilities (50% load in skills lab, sim lab, and/or clinical).
Support student success through advising, academic support, and At‑Risk monitoring.
Collaborate with Human Resources on faculty credentialing and program staffing needs.
Participate in recruitment, admissions, and graduation/licensure readiness processes.
Provide leadership on program committees, faculty meetings, and accreditation initiatives.
