We design, install, and maintain advanced electrical systems. Our expertise spans traditional electrical contracting, security solutions, audio-visual integration, wireless networking, and building management systems.

Position Overview Supports the VDC Team in several aspects including document control, cost management & workforce projections. Reports to the Senior Project Coordinator. Will assist in tracking current and projected VDC costs across multiple jobs. Maintains project documents through Autodesk Construction Cloud, BlueBeam, and Sharepoint.

Core Responsibilities

Works closely with relevant field leadership and project management teams

Keeps Miller internal (VDC external) parties involved throughout the project for full buy-in and optimized design.

Maintains project dashboard updates

Keeps the project schedule up to date.

Provides actual start and completion dates for tasks.

Provides feedback and duration updates when necessary.

Responsible for holding a team accountable in conjunction with the respective facet manager to meet the deliverable dates established in the dashboard (schedule).

Includes verification that prefab is on schedule.

Includes verification that non-vdc prefab is on schedule (in-wall).

Works with the PLD Manager, Detailing Manager to obtain manpower delegation for assigned projects.

Determines project breakdown and structure for cost coding and deliverable scheduling.

Provides project specific direction to: PLD, Modelers and Detailers.

Facilitates/schedules the success of assigned projects and management of the facets.

Delegates field requests as necessary.

Hosts internal meetings with VDC and Field teams and takes minutes.

Facilitates relationship between Miller field teams and VDC team.

Facilitates relationship between VDC and Prefab teams.

The Project coordinator is the conduit of all information to and from the construction site.

Face Of The Department With PM And GC

Build a solid relationship with GC VDC team and electrical PMs/Engineers

Attend all clash/coordination meetings

Keep GC updated on VDC constraints and issues

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies

Strong organizational skills

Basic typing and computer skills

Ability to establish effective relationships with customers, GCs, owners, and office personnel

Ability to proactively get tasks completed within a timely manner

Ability to build & maintain spreadsheets

Ability to work calmly under deadlines and external pressure while in a fast-paced construction environment

Excellent math skills

Strong communication skills

Strong computer skills — specifically in Microsoft Suite Applications, Smartsheets, Bluebeam and Revit

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field OR an adequate level of experience, education, and certification(s)
