As the Regional Vice President, Operations , you will ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs, drive robust student enrollment, amplify community engagement, and achieve strong performance on all state accountability measures. Partnering closely with the Sr. Vice President, Operations, you will strategically guide site-based leaders to foster collaboration and alignment with Ombudsman’s mission—positively impacting High School student outcomes across our Arizona Charter Schools .

Responsibilities Include Ensuring professional, trust-based relationships with district personnel so the needs of internal and external stakeholders are met, partnerships are strengthened, and enrollment is grown.

Providing training and professional development, and developing and implementing an annual PD calendar informed by surveys and needs assessments; training may include instructional practices, intervention techniques, employee relations and performance management, and financial management.

Conducting end-to-end onboarding for new employees within the district and ensuring systematic evaluations are completed on established timelines.

Partnering with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., site leadership, district personnel, executive leadership, cross-functional teams) to resolve operational issues and programmatic concerns.

Upholding operational excellence and compliance within the designated region, adhering to ChanceLight policies and procedures as well as State and Federal regulations.

Establishing and maintaining clear, timely communication with all stakeholders (e.g., parents, staff, district partners, executive leadership) by modeling a positive, professional presence and serving as a liaison when required.

Developing management and organizational plans for the region and partnering with site leadership to formulate annual operating plans that sustain growth and deliver on organizational goals and objectives.

Analyzing regional financial and budget performance and collaborating with site leadership and the SVP to implement data-driven adjustments.

Collaborating with Human Resources on staffing, succession planning, performance reviews, personnel development, and employee relations, supporting site leaders in effective people management.

Collaborating with the Program Administrator and Department Leads to drive consistency and fidelity to standard operating procedures.

Ensuring adherence to contractual, certification, and accreditation requirements, including renewals; utilizing the State Accountability System, Integrity Assurance Review (IAR), and Accountability Matrix (AM) to monitor compliance; supporting corrective action plans to address deficiencies; and visiting sites regularly to verify ongoing compliance with internal (IAR, AM) and external (accreditation, state approvals) quality standards.

Utilizing multiple data sources (e.g., IAR, AM, student performance) to inform programmatic and operational decisions and to guide instructional priorities.

Leveraging technology and demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive) to streamline collaboration, reporting, and stakeholder communication in alignment with Arizona Charter Schools’ designation as a Microsoft Showcase School.

Performing other duties as needed to ensure organizational success consistent with the position’s scope and purpose.

Qualifications Required

Master’s degree or higher in education, psychology, social work or a closely related field of study.

Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an Arizona state teaching license.

Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an education administration, school principal or related credential highly preferred.

Hold currently or able to obtain a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

Minimum 3 yr.'s prior experience working in an educational leadership or administrator role, overseeing multi-site schools or programs highly preferred.

Prior experience and / or highly knowledgeable in the development, assessment, and management of curriculum, content areas and instruction.

Prior experience and highly skilled in providing training, professional development and / or coaching to teachers and education staff.

Effective management skills and comprehensive knowledge of administrative and school operations, functions, and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in education admission and enrollment procedures, public relations and community outreach initiatives.

Prior experience and / or knowledge in alternative educational services for at-risk high school students with diverse needs at various levels.

Highly knowledgeable in security operations, emergency management and safety practices, preferably in an education and / or classroom setting.

History of success building credibility, effectively managing multiple projects and collaborating effectively across all organizational levels.

Highly skilled in building relationships with students, parents, teachers and community and / or business partners.

Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals.

Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.

Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional software, Microsoft 360 programs, database entry and basic office equipment.
