Electronics Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to assemble, test, and install various machine elements within custom automated assembly systems. This role involves working with electrical component wiring, mounting brackets, safety guarding, machine frames, and pneumatic or motor-driven actuators. Responsibilities

Assemble and wire electrical control panels and perform field wiring for industrial equipment applications. Pre-wire panel assembly on the bench and install into the equipment frame for final wiring of sub-assemblies. Execute field wiring of automated equipment and perform work verification. Read and interpret electrical drawings with little or no assistance. Utilize basic knowledge of PLC and PC-based control systems. Maintain clean assembly by using proper wire lengths and connectors. Apply proper stripping and crimping techniques for good electrical connections. Tighten connections using appropriate tools and best practices for wiring, safety, and cleanliness. Layout, drill, and punch holes in various enclosures following engineering prints. Apply precision measurements using measuring tape, square, scale, and micrometers. Use a multimeter to check continuity, voltage, and current. Familiarize with pneumatic cylinders, sensors, transducers, motors, and other equipment-related components. Travel occasionally to job sites for set-up, operations, and removal of equipment. Essential Skills

Minimum of 2-4 years experience in assembling and wiring electrical control panels. Proficient in troubleshooting and using AC/DC, PLC, and multimeter. Experience with test equipment and control panels. Ability to assemble and debug electrical sub-assemblies, junction boxes, and control enclosures. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Operate fork truck and/or pallet jack equipment as needed. Ability to lift 75 pounds and stand for 8 to 10 hours a day. Work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment. Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment with customers, engineering, management, and manufacturing personnel. Possess good math and communication skills. Work in a small company environment where employees are aware of company operations and current state. The team is very team-oriented and customer-focused. The facility is clean, climate-controlled, and dress is business casual. The team consists of 15 employees, including 4-5 in engineering. The role includes mostly in-house work with occasional day trips and limited travel by plane. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Quakertown, PA. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
