SBDigital is seeking a Senior Account Manager to help elect Democrats, support nonprofits and PACs, and build war chests for movements across the country.

We’re looking for a proactive, strategic leader who can own complex client programs, mentor and up-level junior staff, and drive innovative, high‑performing digital fundraising across email, SMS, and paid channels.

Roles & Responsibilities

Own high‑frequency and marquee client programs end-to-end: strategy, planning, execution, QA, and performance

Set monthly/quarterly program strategy across email and SMS, including projections, content calendars, segmentation plans, testing roadmaps, and rapid‑response protocols

Lead client communication: present insights, defend strategy, translate performance into clear recommendations, and build trust with senior stakeholders

Mentor and manage Associates, Strategists, and Fellows; provide clear feedback on writing, testing, segmentation, deliverability, and list growth best practices

Quality control: review/approve copy and builds; enforce brand voice, compliance, and rigorous QA across email, SMS, landing pages, and ads

Data‑driven optimization: own weekly and monthly reporting; analyze KPIs, cohort trends, and test results; turn findings into actionable next steps

Budget stewardship: oversee ad and SMS spend tracking, pacing, and forecasting; flag risks early and reallocate to hit revenue and ROI goals

Hands‑on support when needed: jump in to draft, edit, or load emails/SMS to maintain momentum during peak moments

Rapid response: coordinate and execute timely pivots around breaking news, endorsements, and calendar moments

Cross‑functional collaboration: partner with creative, data/analytics, and media teams to align targeting, creative, and landing page experience

Guide list hygiene, acquisition, and re‑engagement strategies to sustain long‑term revenue

(Optional) New business: support scoping, proposal inputs, and occasional pitches as bandwidth allows

Requirements

5–7+ years in digital, communications, fundraising, or campaign roles (political/advocacy experience strongly preferred)

Proven ownership of multi‑channel digital fundraising programs with measurable revenue growth and ROI improvements

Exceptional writing and editing for email/SMS fundraising, with a strong testing mindset (subject lines, framing, CTAs, ask amounts, segmentation)

Platform familiarity: NGP, Action Network, ActBlue, Switchboard, Numero, ActionKit (or comparable tools)

Demonstrated people leadership: delegating, coaching, giving kind/actionable feedback, and developing teammates

Operational excellence: calm under pressure, strong organization, attention to detail, and reliable deadline management across multiple accounts

Strategic thinking with the ability to balance near‑term goals and long‑term program health

Sense of urgency and comfort operating in fast‑moving political news cycles
