Solution Architect III – Customer Platforms (US)
Solution Architect to support customer channels architecture, specifically the U.S. Customer Platform.
Looking for a Solution Architect with experience working with business and technology teams to define complex multi‑application solutions for a predominantly custom‑built platform that participates in a large ecosystem of custom and SaaS applications.
Responsibilities
Interpret business objectives and requirements into technology solutions that align with the strategic direction.
Understand and provide guidance on the technical aspects of solutions, collaborating closely with Technology team partners.
Take direction from Senior Architects and work with enterprise architects, business, and technology delivery partners to define and contribute high‑level and detailed solutions.
Prepare architecture blueprints, designs, diagrams, and other artifacts to support solution discussions and communicate decisions.
Perform options analyses and document Architecture Assessment of Options.
Ensure alignment with and promote advancement of the Architecture Vision for the domain.
Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional collaboration, communication, and client‑facing skills.
Ability to work autonomously on high‑profile, complex, high‑risk technology projects with significant organizational impact.
Proactive thinker providing recommendations on value‑added architectural improvements and enhancements.
Experience defining and communicating multi‑application solution architectures within a broader system ecosystem.
Experience translating problems and solutions across technical and business stakeholders.
Expert knowledge of architectures involving Java, Angular, Azure, OIDC, REST, Kafka/Events, relational and non‑SQL databases, Redis, and data‑driven design.
Familiarity with Azure & GCP AI/ML services, LLM, agent architectures, Azure AI Services, Azure AI Foundry, GCP Vertex AI, RAG, Azure AI Search.
Experience designing solutions with microservice, micro front‑end, and event‑based architectures for customer‑facing digital applications.
Occasional travel required.
Depth & Scope
Expert knowledge of architecture for technology, tools, processes, and broader organizational issues.
Advanced knowledge of TD applications, programming languages, industry best practices, and banking standards.
Autonomous work on complex, highly visible architecture projects.
Manages analysis and design of architecture on large, high‑risk projects.
Provides expert exchange of architectural information with project teams and external vendors.
Education & Experience
Undergraduate degree or technical certificate.
Graduate degree preferred.
7+ years of relevant experience.
Accountabilities
Design and develop architecture frameworks, technology domain strategies, policies, and standards.
Research and analyze business requirements to recommend optimal solutions.
Review detailed solution designs ensuring compliance with architectural and security standards.
Contribute to project plans, manage assigned resources, communicate status, and report issues.
Provide expert consultation and participate in projects of moderate to high risk and complexity.
Conduct implementation reviews to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements.
Support development and execution of comprehensive strategy, policies, and solutions.
Physical Requirements Domestic travel – occasional. International travel – never. Continuous sedentary work. Continuous use of standard office equipment. Occasional standing, walking, and occasional lifting under 25 lbs.
