Be client-facing and take responsibility for managing the scope, budget, and schedule for electrical discipline projects, including executing change management. Provide third-party engineering oversight and manage the electrical team’s development and system integration. Lead the electrical technical design for projects and may serve as the engineer of record. Perform or review routine and complex engineering tasks, design, analysis, and other technical activities in the electrical discipline, using the latest technology, standards, and calculation software. Prepare and review load lists, power system studies, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, area classifications, sizing calculations, schematics, specifications, data sheets, requisitions, and technical bid analyses. Collaborate with the integrated EPC team and clients to manage RFIs, deliverable reviews, change orders, engineering equipment buyouts, etc. Review vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheet requirements are met. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum). 3+ years of relevant experience in fossil fuels, power generation, or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex information to all levels of staff, management, and clients. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, even under tight deadlines. Proven experience in creating and interpreting technical drawings (e.g., grounding, area class, power, single line, schematic, and motor control). In-depth knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, API, NEC, and other industry standards. Proficiency in engineering calculations such as load flow, short circuit analysis, arc flash, harmonics, and more. Experience with specifying high, medium, and low voltage electrical equipment, including MCCs, transformers, and switchgear. Expertise in relay coordination and Arc Flash analysis, with the ability to program protective relays effectively. Comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable, and collaborative in a systems-thinking environment. Proven ability to guide teams on design standards, engineering codes, and best practices. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, supporting continuous improvement and quality assurance efforts. Additional information
